Coaching for senior students and emerging adults
The final years of school are an important transition period in a young person’s life.
Students in Year 11 and Year 12 are often navigating increasing academic expectations, social pressures, part-time work and important decisions about life after school.
Many capable young people want to do well, but they often benefit from having someone who can help them think clearly, build self-awareness and take ownership of their decisions.
Through one-to-one coaching, I support senior students to develop the mindset, skills and confidence needed to succeed in school and transition effectively into university and adult life.
The coaching structure
Coaching sessions are typically:
One-to-one coaching conversations lasting 60 minutes.
Coaching may begin during:
Year 11
Year 12
Students may also continue coaching during their transition to university, where developing independence and decision making skills becomes even more important.
Sessions can be delivered online or in person in Melbourne.

Who is this coaching for?
Why choose Roland?
I bring a unique combination of coaching expertise and deep experience in education.
As an Assistant Principal and experienced educator, I understand how schools operate, how learning works, and the challenges students face.
This experience allows me to help students navigate school life strategically while also developing the thinking skills that support long term growth.
Students often benefit from having a trusted adult outside their school or family environment who can provide a non-judgemental space to reflect, think and grow.
What outcomes can we expect?
Over time, you should notice meaningful changes in your child. Students become:
more confident in their thinking and decision making
more engaged with their learning
better able to balance study, work and social life
more comfortable communicating with teachers
clearer about their future direction
Many students also experience improved academic engagement because they begin approaching school with greater ownership and intention.
This coaching is designed for senior secondary students in Melbourne who are capable but want support to grow and develop.
Students who benefit most from coaching often:
Want to do well academically but feel uncertain about how to approach Year 11 or Year 12
Feel capable but are not yet thriving at school
Want to improve focus, motivation and study habits
Need help navigating friendships, school expectations and part-time work
Want greater confidence and direction for life after school
Students do not need to be struggling to benefit from coaching.
In fact, many of the students who gain the most are thoughtful and capable young people who want to develop stronger thinking skills and greater independence.
